The German Jordanian University Library organized a "Library Day" event to promote culture and knowledge, with the participation of several academic and community figures. The event aimed to highlight the crucial role of libraries in advancing knowledge and fostering scientific innovation.

During the event, GJU President Prof. Alaa Al-Deen Al-Halhouli emphasized the importance of reading and its role in enriching individuals' lives. He stressed the need for students to develop their skills and aspirations as a key foundation for shaping their personalities and futures.

The university library director, Dr. Hani Muhsen, explained that the event was designed to strengthen cooperation between the university and its local and international partners. He also highlighted the launch of the 'University Podcast Platform,' now available on platforms such as SoundCloud and Google Cloud, which offers unique cultural and academic content to the public.

In the field of technological innovation, Eng. Wasan Hawari from "Quill" gave a presentation on the use of robotics and artificial intelligence in libraries. She discussed how these modern technologies can be employed to streamline inventory management and book organization, improving operational efficiency in libraries.

The Haya Cultural Center, represented by Mr. Mahmoud Hind and his team, also organized a mobile library featuring art activities and Telematch games for local school students. Forty students from the Na'ur and Madaba districts were invited to take part in these activities.

The event also included a lecture titled "Where Are Academic Libraries Heading? The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Academic Libraries," delivered by Mr. Laith Al-Naser, Assistant Library Director, and Eng. Waleed Shehab from "Lion Bot Robotics." The lecture was attended by 50 participants, including staff from both public and private university libraries.

At the conclusion of the event, several faculty members who excelled in academic research and publication were honored in partnership with "Emerald" and "IEEE." Mrs. Areej Barghouthi, representing "Emerald," and Mrs. Rima Assaf, representing "IEEE," presented certificates and trophies in recognition of their scientific achievements.

Prof. Al-Halhouli also inaugurated an accompanying book fair, which featured a wide range of books catering to all age groups, from literature and philosophy to science, technology, and children's books. The fair offered visitors a unique opportunity to discover valuable cultural and intellectual treasures, making the event a rich educational and cultural experience that benefited both the academic community and the public.
