The Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship at the German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted a delegation from Aqaba Logistics Village as part of the "Industry on Campus" (IoC) program, launched by the Deanship to enhance communication and cooperation with the private sector.

The visit began with welcoming remarks from GJU President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, who emphasized the importance of partnership with Aqaba Logistics Village and its essential role in supporting education and practical training. Dean of Innovation, Technology Transfer, and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Nidal Al-Shawareh; Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Office, Dr. Hamzeh Al-Majali; and Assistant Dean for Industry Relations, Dr. Abdo Mahli, also spoke about the program’s objectives and the importance of joint efforts to develop students’ skills and prepare them for the labor market.

During the visit, CEO of Aqaba Logistics Village, Hakam  Abu Al-Filat, delivered a lecture on innovation in logistics, addressing key trends and technologies shaping this vital sector. This was followed by a presentation from the company’s HR Manager, Engineer Wissam Mar’i, who highlighted the outcomes of the cooperation between the university and the company under the Dual Studies program, noting the unique training opportunities provided to students.

Dual Studies students training at Aqaba Logistics Village also showcased their completed projects, highlighting the skills and knowledge they gained through hands-on experience at the company, underscoring the success of the partnership between GJU and Aqaba Logistics Village in cultivating highly skilled students.
