The School of Architecture and Built Environment Engineering at German Jordanian University has secured third place in the eighth international competition for the reconstruction of destroyed Palestinian villages, organized by the Palestine Land Authority in Britain. Graduate student Abdullah Zureikat, under the supervision of Eng. Thaer Qabaa, led the project titled "Reporters Without Borders – Beit Jibreen," which aims to honor the village's history and unveil truths obscured by occupation.
The initiative includes the restoration of the mosque, transforming the court into a radio station to amplify Palestinian voices, and connecting the Caves of Bells to the Reporters Without Borders complex, symbolizing the struggle for truth.
Eng. Qabaa commended Zureikat's efforts and emphasized the project's significance, particularly in light of recent events affecting the Palestinian people. He highlighted the consistent excellence of students in the School of Architecture and Built Environment Engineering, noting their success in numerous local, regional, and international competitions, attributing this achievement to the dedication of both academic and administrative staff.
