The German Jordanian University (GJU), through the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), organized a celebration on the 76th of Jordan Independence Day.
The President of GJU, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, indicated that this occasion is a source of pride and joy for Jordanians as a result of their fight and a motive to continue our ancestors' efforts hundred years ago to build our country, adding that independence means liberation from the domination of colonialism and freedom of decision and influence in the world in a positive way.
For her part, the DSA, Dr. Thelal Oweis, pointed out that this great occasion carries messages of loyalty to the country that urge us to follow the path and to continue the approach of endless giving where it deserves all the giving to live in a secured, intellectual and creative freedom, besides equal opportunities.
The ceremony was attended by the director of the Hisban district, the mayor of Madaba, the deputy mayor of Madaba, and representatives of several officials in Madaba and Naour Brigade.
The ceremony included the participation of the Public Security Musician, motorcycle performance of Jordan Traffic Institute, the Madaba Scouts, poems and national songs performances by the GJU band, and the distribution of prizes to the winners of the Independence Championship for Tennis, Volleyball, and Chess.
