The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) celebrated International Women's Day through student clubs, IEEE and Pharmaceutical Engineering. The President and Founder of Masari Company (C-Path), Ms. Reham Al-Zughair, Director of Youth and Advocacy Projects in the Office UN Women-Jordan and GJU graduate Ms. Susan Al-Helou, Architect and novelist Ms. Sarah Al-Badawiyeh participated in the celebration.
During the ceremony, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thelal Oweis, welcomed the attendees, indicating that this day is dedicated to honoring women on the front lines, workers, initiative owners, givers of joy, entrepreneurs, mothers, students, and every woman who draws a smile in this society. She expressed her pride that among the participants was a graduate of the German Jordanian University.
For her part, Mrs. Al-Zughair reviewed her practical career and her insistence on establishing the company through determination, entrepreneurial mentality, and her belief in the strength of the capabilities of Jordanian youth, especially women, by providing them with the skills of strategic thinking, innovative planning, and a clear path for professional development for a prosperous society economically and socially, considering her belief in youth as the motivation to establish her company to provide them with adequate and internationally accredited training and program.
On the other hand, Mrs. Susan Al-Helou, a graduate of Medical Engineering from the German Jordanian University, expressed her pride in hosting the university after Ten years of her graduation to show her scientific and practical career in front of students, indicating the impact of extracurricular activities during her studies in refining her personality and helping her to be a productive and leading woman.In turn, Sarah Badawiyeh told the audience her story of her choice of transitioning to novel writing after studying Architecture as a major. She reviewed her novels with the audience with a simplified explanation of them.
Furthermore, the ceremony included a bazaar for different products for university students.
