
Under the patronage of the President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, the university held a graduation ceremony for the first cohort of participants in the training course "Digital Transformation in Teaching and Learning," organized by the Center for E-Learning and Academic Performance Improvement (CeLAPI). as part of GJU’s ongoing efforts to enhance the digital competencies of its academic staff and improve teaching practices in line with modern educational requirements.
In his speech during the ceremony, the President Prof. Al-Halhouli congratulated the graduates on successfully completing the course and commended their commitment to developing their professional skills to improve the educational process. He emphasized the importance of building educational capacities in light of the rapid transformations taking place in higher education. He pointed out the need for universities to adopt innovation and ensure quality, while taking proactive steps to prepare for the future of education by creating an environment that fosters continuous development and excellence.
In his address, Dr. Ziad Abu El-Rub, Director of CeLAPI, noted that the course saw the graduation of 26 faculty members, highlighting their dedication to adopting and applying modern teaching approaches in their classrooms. He also provided an overview of the center’s strategic plan for 2025, which aims to support GJU’s digital transformation journey. The plan includes developing e-learning guidelines, organizing specialized training programs to improve academic performance, producing high-quality digital educational materials, and implementing educational projects in collaboration with international partners.
