The German Jordanian University organized a forum for Private and Public-School Principals with the participation of 35 private and public schools in Amman, Madaba and Naour District for the aim of enhancing GJU’s values and objectives in regard of its social responsibility and to discuss aspects of cooperation between the university and schools.
GJU’s president, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, pointed out during the forum that the German Jordanian University was modelled on the German applied-sciences model, characterized by their focus on putting knowledge into practice and on promoting knowledge transfer. developed its programs and updated its study plans to keep pace with modern developments and the needs of the local and German labor market in particular.
Prof. Al-Halhouli pointed out that GJU is a cultural vessel and a bridge linking Jordan with Europe in general and Germany in particular, which would provide students with various life and study experiences and skills that enable them to find job opportunities after graduation or establish startups and to be business owners.
Prof. Al-Halhouli highlighted the establishment of the School of Nursing and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship and its role in promoting a culture of entrepreneurship in the university and society.
During the meeting, GJU’s schools, its academic programs and the Hosted Programs hosted by Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
At the end of the meeting, an extensive dialogue took place during which the participants' questions and inquiries regarding the admission mechanisms, the scholarships it offers and future means of cooperation.
