The School of Nursing (SN) at German Jordanian University GJU held a specialized training lecture for faculty members on the DefibReady electric shock simulation device, coordinated with Zeta Medical Equipment Company.
This lecture is the first of its kind among Jordanian universities, presenting a practical and interactive demonstration of the DefibReady device, which is the first high-precision external electric shock simulation device introduced in Jordan. It is designed to train healthcare professionals on electric defibrillation, pacing, the use of automated external defibrillators (AED), and vital signs monitoring.
The device includes a shock simulator, a wearable vest, and an integrated control system, providing a safe and realistic training environment without the use of real electrical current, allowing for repeated training without risk.
Faculty members received hands-on training using the device in various cardiac emergency scenarios, enhancing their readiness to deliver high-quality practical training and improve clinical teaching effectiveness.
At the conclusion of the activity, the School’s administration expressed gratitude to Zeta Medical Equipment Company for their cooperation and emphasized the importance of continuing such programs to develop faculty skills and raise the standard of nursing education in Jordan.
