
The German Jordanian University organized a workshop titled "Entrepreneurship on Campus," in collaboration with the Jordan National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science. The workshop aims to promote an entrepreneurial culture among students, encourage innovation, and provide practical solutions to the challenges facing vital sectors in Jordan.
During the meeting, Dr. Iyas Al-Khader, Vice President of GJU for Academic Excellence, expressed his pleasure in hosting the workshop in collaboration with the National Commission. He emphasized the university's commitment to supporting excellence and innovation, and fostering a culture of entrepreneurship among students through partnerships that contribute to empowering youth and preparing them for the future.
Dr. Nidal AL-Shwawreh, Dean of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Transfer (DI-TECH) at GJU, highlighted the importance of instilling an entrepreneurial mindset in students, noting the university's dedication to providing a stimulating practical environment. He pointed out that entrepreneurship is both a culture and a societal responsibility that plays a crucial role in creating real change.
For her part, Dr. Lara Fawzan from the Jordanian National Commission for Education, Culture and Science stressed the importance of cooperation between academic institutions and national and international entities in supporting and empowering youth. She pointed out that the workshop represents a successful model of such collaboration, aiming to develop the skills of young people to lead the future with innovation and social responsibility.
The workshop included a series of training and discussion sessions on entrepreneurship, led by consultants and experts in the field from both inside and outside the university, along with discussions on the entrepreneurial challenges in various sectors.
At the conclusion of the workshop, students participated in a group work session under the guidance of mentors, followed by a presentation of their projects. The workshop ended with a networking lunch session, providing an opportunity to strengthen the bonds between students and participants and open avenues for future collaboration
