Under the patronage of HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, President of the Arab Thought Forum, the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), participated in the graduation ceremony of the “Sabelat El Hassan 2025” program, organized by the El Hassan Youth Award under the theme “Growth and Belonging”, at the University of Jordan.

GJU was represented by student Hussam Al-Kasasbeh, under the supervision of Dr. Ziad Al-Zoubi, Head of the Sports Activity Section, who highlighted the significance of the program’s objectives in fostering self-confidence, national belonging, initiative, creativity, volunteerism, and community engagement.

This year’s program brought together 61 students from 14 Jordanian universities, in addition to participants from Iraq, Palestine, and Syria. The activities included military and fitness training, climbing Mount Um Al-Dami, lectures on critical issues such as water resources and drug prevention, as well as field visits to archaeological and religious sites.

Since its launch in 1991, Sabelat El Hassan has been one of the leading initiatives of the El Hassan Youth Award, implemented annually under the guidance of HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal. The program is built around three core pillars: providing public service and community engagement, undertaking adventurous explorations in Jordan’s nature, and contributing to scientific research, environmental projects, and field studies.
