In conjunction with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, the German Jordanian University (GJU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), Dr. Shafaa Al-Shawabkeh, from Counseling and Psychological Services Office (CaPS), took part in an awareness event organized by GIZ as part of nationwide school activities.
During the visit to Jubilee Boys’ School in Marka, Dr. Al-Shawabkeh delivered an informative presentation about GJU, its academic programs, and the role of DSA in supporting students. She also highlighted CaPS work in case management, services and the facilities provided for students with disabilities. The presentation featured real stories of GJU students with disabilities, showcasing the challenges they overcame and the achievements they reached with the university’s support.
This participation reflects GJU’s ongoing commitment to promoting inclusion, empowering persons with disabilities, and keeping the values of equality and accessible education for all.
