The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, met with the faculty and staff of the School of Nursing (SN) as part of the first in a series of meetings he is holding with the university’s faculties, aimed at strengthening direct communication and reinforcing the principles of partnership and integration among the various components of the university community.
During the meeting, Prof. Al-Halhouli delivered a brief presentation highlighting the university’s latest developments and ongoing strategic projects, shedding light on institutional development and academic modernization efforts, as well as the qualitative steps being taken to advance education and scientific research and enhance the university’s competitiveness locally and internationally.
Prof. Al-Halhouli also reviewed the opportunities available to faculty members through The Technology, Research, and Innovation Park (TRIP) and the Deanship of Innovation, Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship (DI-TECH), including support for applied scientific research, fostering an innovation-driven environment, and aligning academic outcomes with labor market needs and national priorities.
Furthermore, Prof. Al-Halhouli listened to a briefing presented by the Dean of SN, Dr. Mayada Daibes, on the faculty’s future plan and its key priorities for the coming phase, which focus on developing academic programs, enhancing quality, supporting scientific research, and expanding areas of cooperation and partnership.
