The German Jordanian University (GJU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamayouz Excellence Award to enhance academic and professional cooperation and to strengthen collaboration in the fields of architecture, design, and urban innovation at both regional and international levels.
The agreement aims to establish a framework for mutual exchange of knowledge and experience, cooperation in organizing conferences and academic seminars, launching specialized training programs, and activating joint efforts in marketing and promotion.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the university by its President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and on behalf of the Tamayouz Excellence Award by its MENA Regional Coordinator, Eng. Ossaid Al-Aeitan. The signing took place in the presence of the Dean of the School of Architecture and Built Environment (SABE), Dr. Omaimah Al-Arja, and practicing lecturer Arch. Tha’er Qub’a.
Prof. Al-Halhouli emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting the university’s vision to foster knowledge exchange and engagement with international institutions, contributing to the development of students’ capabilities and enabling them to stay abreast of advancements in architecture and design.
For his part, Eng. Al-Aeitan appreciated the collaboration with GJU, noting that the agreement aligns with the Tamayouz Excellence Award’s mission to build effective networks with academic and professional institutions across the region.
This MoU represents a strategic step towards expanding joint cooperation and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in the fields of urban design and architectural engineering.
