His Royal Highness Prince Omarbin Faisal, President of the Jordanian Esports Federation, crowned the winners of the first edition of the “Zain E-Sports Universities Championship” on Friday, 28 November 2025. The finals were held at the  federation’s headquarters in King Hussein Business Park in Amman.

Rakan Qbaiwi, a student from the German Jordanian University, secured first place in the male category after an outstanding performance in EA SPORTS FC 26, earning him the championship title in its first edition.

The tournament, which began two weeks earlier, saw the participation of 1,500 male and female players from 10 public and private Jordanian universities. A total of 10 female and 10 male players advanced to the finals, competing in an energetic and highly competitive atmosphere on the final day.

It is worth noting that the Deanship of Student Affairs hosted the university-level qualifying rounds at GJU, with 58 students participating. Rakan Qbaiwi and Jude Al-Qaisi qualified from the GJU round to represent the university in the championship finals.
