
Student Waleed Abu Sariya from the German Jordanian University (GJU) won first place in the Jordanian Universities E-Sports Championship, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in collaboration with NEXTPLAY, and concluded under the patronage of GJU President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli.
The championship featured 16 players representing 8 Jordanian universities, following preliminary qualifiers held at each participating campus. The event witnessed high levels of excitement and enthusiastic public engagement, reflecting the growing interest among youth in e-sports—an activity that combines entertainment with competitive and technical skills.
At the conclusion of the championship, Prof. Al-Halhouli honored the top three winners. The second place went to a representative from Luminus Technical University College, while Al-Balqa Applied University and Princess Sumaya University for Technology shared third place.
