The German Jordanian University (GJU) hosted an intensive three-day workshop from August 11 to 13, 2025, for the Jordanian Universities Network (JUNet), organized in collaboration with the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN). The workshop brought together specialists from seven public universities, three private universities, and one research and development institution to explore strategic approaches for advancing National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) and enhancing cybersecurity across Jordan’s higher education sector.

The program featured hands-on training sessions and in-depth discussions focused on both fundamental and advanced cybersecurity practices, including encryption and protection technologies. It also emphasized the importance of infrastructure development, institutional capacity-building, and keeping pace with digital transformation.

This capacity-building initiative reflects the shared commitment of GJU, JUNet, and ASREN to position Jordan at the forefront of a secure and interconnected digital education ecosystem in the Arab region.
