The German Language Center (GLC) opened its first “uniKino” series in the German Lounge on the Jabal Amman Campus on November 29, 2022 with the comedy "Almanya-Willkommen in Deutschland".
The goal of the event series is to provide interested students with deeper insights into German everyday topics, culture and history through the medium of film than is possible in the classroom.
By presenting the films in German with English subtitles, students of all language levels can benefit from this extra-curricular offer at GJU campus.
The first trio of films deals with immigration, identities in the metropolis of Berlin and the Stasi past in the former GDR. A small buffet provides a cinema atmosphere.
