With enthusiasm and great commitment, 1,148 new students participated in the German pre-course at the German Jordanian University (GJU), held from September 7 to 18 and from September 21 to October 2, 2025.
The course provided participants with their first introduction to the German language while offering them the chance to make new friends and become familiar with campus life at GJU.
To ensure personalized guidance and an optimal learning environment, the pre-course was divided into 54 sections, taught by experienced instructors from the German Language Center (GLC) in collaboration with teaching assistants (TAs) from higher grades. This team-based approach not only enriched the classroom experience but also gave new students valuable insights and practical advice about student life at the university.
At the end of the program, the TAs were honored with certificates during a small closing ceremony. Jacqueline Rogler, Director of the GLC, and Bele Günther, Coordinator of the Pre- and German I Courses, expressed their appreciation to the participating students, lecturers, and coordinators for their outstanding efforts and wished everyone a successful start to the new academic semester.
