The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with the Student Media and Photography Club and Frame Company, organized a photography training course for students interested in photography and those with a passion for enhancing their skills in photography, videography, and editing.
The course was delivered by trainers Ahmad Jihad and Hamzeh Sharbak at the University Campus in Jabal Amman over three sessions, totaling 15 training hours across three days. It began with a theoretical introduction to cameras, lenses, the working principles of cameras, and their different types. Participants then explored the fundamentals of photography, including mastering the exposure triangle and understanding its related settings, illustrated through practical examples and hands-on camera exercises.
The training also covered the principles and types of videography, slow-motion and time-lapse filming, lighting techniques, and framing, along with an introduction to video editing. Students learned how to adjust settings on mobile devices and received practical tips for mobile photography.
On the final day, all concepts were reviewed, questions and clarifications were addressed, and students had the opportunity to apply everything they learned under the trainers’ supervision to ensure practical mastery of the material.
