
The Road Safety Center of Excellence (RSCE) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized a biking event in collaboration with Jordan Bikes, aiming to promote the concepts of safe, sustainable, and active mobility. The event was part of the German Week activities held by the university in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
The event was held over four days at GJU’s campuses in Al-Mushagar and Jabal Amman, It saw active participation from students, faculty, and administrative staff, reflecting the university’s commitment to environmental responsibility and the promotion of road safety culture.
Key highlights of the activity included free bike training sessions for beginners, as well as on-campus engagement activities promoting sustainable transportation and road safety practices.
Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, Director of (RSCE), emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting behavioral change toward safer and more sustainable mobility, especially among youth and university students. She added that this activity aligns with the center’s mission to foster a culture of safety and sustainability both within the university and in the wider community.
