The Road Safety Center of Excellence (RSCE) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized the Cycling Event – 10 KM Challenge, with the participation of GJU students and staff. The activity aimed to promote road safety awareness, encourage safe and sustainable mobility, and strengthen the culture of cycling within a safe and organized environment.
The event started from the GJU campus in Al-Mushqar and continued toward Al-Mushqar Secondary School, covering a distance of approximately 10 kilometers. Participants took part in a sports and awareness-based activity that connected physical wellbeing with responsible road use and safe mobility practices.
RSCE emphasized that this activity comes as part of its ongoing efforts to raise road safety awareness within the university community and to engage students in practical initiatives that promote responsible mobility behavior, particularly in relation to sustainable transportation and safe cycling practices.
The event included the provision of bicycles and safety helmets for participants, along with field supervision and coordination to ensure a safe and well-organized experience.
The Road Safety Center of Excellence reaffirms its commitment to implementing awareness initiatives and community-based activities that support road safety culture inside and outside the university, in line with GJU’s role in community engagement and sustainability.
