The School of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (SEEIT) at the German Jordanian University, in collaboration with the IEEE GJU Student Branch, organized a guidance event for second-year students majoring in Computer Engineering and Computer Science to help them choose their academic tracks.

The event began with two lectures delivered by the heads of the Computer Engineering Department and the Computer Science Department, Dr. Ammar Gharaibeh and Dr. Rana Al Mahmoud, respectively. They presented the various available tracks: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, highlighting the study requirements, job opportunities, and future career prospects of each track.

The event also included a panel discussion featuring industry experts, faculty members, and outstanding students, who shared practical experiences, professional challenges, and valuable advice to support students in making informed decisions about their academic and career paths.

This initiative was organized as part of the school’s commitment to fostering open dialogue between students, faculty, and professionals, and to supporting students in building academic paths that align with their interests, capabilities, and labor market opportunities.
