As part of enhancing practical training for the students of the School of Nursing (SN) and developing their skills in elderly care, the Dean of the School of Nursing at the German Jordanian University, Dr. Mayada Daibes, accompanied by the Head of the Nursing Sciences Department, Dr. Mohammad Al-Zaatreh, visited the Wadi Al-Shita Elderly Care Center to follow up on the students’ field training within the course “Nursing Care for the Elderly.”

During the visit, the delegation inspected the various facilities of the center, where students are trained on the fundamentals of health care for the elderly and introduced to how to provide comprehensive nursing care that meets the needs of this age group.

During the visit, the Dean emphasized the importance of field training in preparing qualified nursing staff, highlighting the School of Nursing’s commitment to delivering high quality education that enables students to perform their roles effectively in various health sectors especially elderly care, which is considered a vital and growing field in the healthcare sector.

At the conclusion of the visit, the officials of the Center expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the University in training the students, affirming the importance of this cooperation in enhancing the quality of health and social services provided to the elderly and raising awareness of the importance of providing a supportive environment that ensures them a dignified and healthy life.
