The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), through the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers) IEEE (and Biomedical Engineering Club (BMEC), organized a specialized training course titled “Prosthetic Design and Assembly – Prosthetic Arm,” specifically designed for Biomedical Engineering students.

The course aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical application by equipping students with the knowledge and hands-on experience needed in the field of modern prosthetic design, while strengthening their ability to apply scientific concepts in real-world settings.

The training covered several key areas, including the fundamental mechanical principles of prosthetic design, an overview of the technical and biological components involved in manufacturing a prosthetic arm, as well as a practical hands-on session. This session provided participants with a comprehensive experience encompassing assembly, installation, and performance testing.
