The Vision Rehabilitation Center (VRC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) recently conducted a specialized training workshop for medical professionals, including residents and ophthalmology technicians, at the University of Jordan Hospital. The four-day training session was part of the ongoing strategic partnership between the center and the hospital, aimed at enhancing services for individuals with visual impairments.
Led by Maysa Masoud, a visual rehabilitation specialist at the center, the workshop was a key component of the continuing medical education program and the scientific lectures hosted by the hospital. The sessions were designed to broaden knowledge and refine the skills of the medical team, thereby positively impacting the quality of care provided. The workshop also featured active participation, with participants engaging in meaningful scientific discussions and sharing valuable experiences.
This interactive workshop underscores the GJU’s commitment to community service and fostering collaboration between academic and healthcare institutions. The initiative supports the university's mission to integrate individuals with visual disabilities into society and improve their overall quality of life.
