The Visual Rehabilitation Center (VRC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with the Queen Rania College for Childhood at The Hashemite University, organized an interactive workshop titled "Introduction to Visual Rehabilitation" for special education students.
The workshop featured an informative and hands-on lecture at the Visual Rehabilitation Center, incorporating the use of simulation glasses to familiarize students with the challenges encountered by individuals with visual impairments.
An interactive tour of the university's facilities, facilitated by simulated glasses, provided students with valuable insights into the environment and the daily obstacles experienced by visually impaired individuals. Additionally, attendees were introduced to the comprehensive rehabilitation services offered by the centre for those with visual disabilities.
These initiatives represent a concerted effort to raise community awareness about the experiences of individuals with visual impairments, foster their integration into society, and enhance their overall quality of life.
