The German Jordanian University (GJU) and Istishari Hospital have collaborated through a recent agreement aimed at providing training opportunities for Nursing School students at the hospital. The agreement also extends to students enrolled in the Dual Studies programs.
 
The agreement, signed by GJU President Prof. Aladdin Al-Halhouli and Istishari Hospital Director General Dr. Tareq Ellauzi, outlines a framework for joint projects in the academic, scientific, research, and training domains. Both parties will work together to develop proposals and submit them to relevant authorities. Additionally, the agreement emphasizes the promotion of medical, health, and clinical research, fostering mutual research initiatives, and contributing to the advancement of medical and health services.
 
As part of this collaboration, the hospital and GJU's Deanship of Innovation will exchange valuable experiences. The university will share expertise in technology and entrepreneurship, nurturing a culture of innovation and startup development. This partnership will focus on technology transfer in the realm of entrepreneurial idea development, innovation, and capacity building. Furthermore, both parties will have access to each other's laboratories, fostering a collaborative research environment.
 
Of significance, GJU recently introduced a Bachelor's program in nursing, set to commence in the upcoming first semester of the academic year 2023/2024. This collaboration with Istishari Hospital will provide invaluable practical training opportunities for nursing students, enhancing their academic journey and preparing them for the healthcare industry.
