The German Jordanian University's School of Architecture and Built Environment Engineering achieved notable success in the recent seventh edition of the Arab Packaging Competition (Starpack), hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with the Lebanese Center for Packaging (LibanPack).

Among the outstanding achievements, student Saad Shamil secured first place in the category of food safety packaging at the Arab regional level, with student Rum Tweissi claiming second place in the same category. Additionally, Raghad Sobh clinched first place, while Khalid Al-Auri attained second place, and Abdul Rahman Al-Sheikh along with Talaia Barghout secured third place in the structural design category. In the domain of visual design, student Yasmine Halawani earned second place, with student Sarah Al-Wali coming in third place, all under the guidance of Engineer Rawan Al-Majthoub.

The Arab Packaging Competition (Starpack) is a significant platform gathering participation from across Arab nations, focusing on sustainable packaging design. In the seventh edition, 602 students from various Arab countries showcased their talent across three key fields: packaging graphic design, structural design, and food preservation. The winners were duly recognized at a ceremony held in Cairo.
