The School of Nursing (SN) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized an introductory visit to the King Abdullah II School of Excellence in Al-Karak governorate as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen community engagement and attract outstanding students.

The school principal, Ms. Hala Takhaina, warmly welcomed the delegation from SN, which included the Vice Dean of SN, Dr. Mohammad Al-Zaatreh, and Dr. Mohammad Al-Saadi, alongside a group of nursing students: Abdulrahman Heshmeh, Ammar Al-Asouli, Marah Al-Shawabkeh, and Rama Al-Nawafleh.

This visit aimed to introduce high school students to the educational opportunities available at the university, especially the Bachelor of Nursing program, amid the growing demand for nursing professionals locally and internationally.

Dr. Al-Zaatreh emphasized the importance of carefully selecting a university major, highlighting the journey of the German Jordanian University (GJU) and the School of Nursing, as well as their vital role in supporting the national healthcare system.

Dr. Al-Saadi in his part, presented a detailed presentation on the key features of the Nursing Program, with a special focus on the "Germany Year" and international partnerships that offer students outstanding training and employment opportunities.

The nursing students also shared their personal experiences, explaining their reasons for choosing the nursing specialization, their future aspirations, and offering valuable advice to the school students about selecting a university major.

The visit included an interactive dialogue session during which the delegation members answered students’ questions about university studies and the nursing profession. The event concluded with a practical demonstration by the nursing students, covering basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills and conversational German language skills, which received enthusiastic interaction and appreciation from the attendees.

This visit reflects the commitment of GJU to support students and enable them to make informed educational decisions. It also highlights the School of Nursing’s role in promoting nursing as a promising academic and professional career path.
