The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) at the German Jordanian University (GJU) organized an open meeting with university students, members of student clubs affiliated with the Deanship, and the Student Parliament. The meeting was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, along with the Deanship’s team, and aimed to introduce the role of the DSA, highlight the services, activities, and opportunities available to students, and encourage active engagement in campus life.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Atrash encouraged students to participate positively by asking questions and exchanging ideas, emphasizing the importance of involvement in extracurricular activities. She also highlighted the value of joining student clubs, initiatives, and upcoming events, noting their role in developing personal skills and enriching the overall university experience.

The meeting was followed by an introductory session on the Crown Prince’s Award for Best Government Services Application – Fifth Cycle, held in coordination with Dr. Alaa Khalifa, a faculty member at the university. The award, launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation, was presented through an overview covering its objectives, target groups, participation requirements, digital platform, and evaluation mechanism.

The award aims to motivate Jordanian university students to develop innovative smartphone application solutions that simplify and enhance government services, foster creativity and innovation, improve the quality and accessibility of public services, and strengthen collaboration between university students and government entities, ultimately contributing to an improved quality of life for the community.
