Registered nursing is one of the most rapidly developing occupations in both the health and non-health sectors, with a nursing staff that makes up nearly one-third of workers in all healthcare facilities. This stems from the ongoing need to address recognised and emerging diseases and epidemics, which demand many highly qualified nursing and health teams. Contemporary global health crises compel us to expand academic nursing programs that graduate registered nurses who are capable of tackling health challenges nationally, regionally, and globally.

At the German Jordanian University, we believe that qualified nurses are capable of tackling health issues and assisting individuals, families, and communities to overcome their suffering by applying broader perspectives and more dedicated approaches that account for our time's complexities while arguing for the compassion and care that all patients demand.

With the recently established GJU nursing program, we look forward to advancing the nursing profession, advancing greater health and wellbeing for people in Jordan, the region, and around the world, and discovering and disseminating all workable solutions and alternatives to health care concerns and challenges through evidence-based nursing education, research, and practice.

In all that we do, the GJU School of Nursing and our German partners are committed to addressing cultural diversity, social inequalities, and promoting social justice. Indeed, one of the defining features that makes our school different is the obligatory German Year, which offers our students the chance to spend a semester studying at one of our partner German universities, followed by six months of training in one of the German healthcare facilities. This year would enhance students’ cultural-based skills and provide them with a unique chance to engage in the German culture, the German healthcare system, and improve their German language.

Whether you join German Jordanian University as a student, clinician, faculty member, or staff member, you will be part of an ongoing heritage of distinction in innovation, education, and leadership. We will advance health for all by working together.
