About the Department
The German Jordanian University (GJU) established its Accreditation and Quality Assurance Department (AQAD) in 2005 to oversee academic and administrative quality. Since 2016, the department has implemented a comprehensive quality system tailored to GJU’s distinct Jordanian-German identity, utilizing internal expertise and external collaboration. Key initiatives include:
- Developing standard procedures for administrative processes and training quality liaison officers in ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Organizing professional training courses for staff and forming committees to enhance administrative work and ensure continuous improvement.
- Achieving global and local recognition, including entry into the QS World Rankings and achieving advanced positions in local evaluations.

Developing and maintaining quality management systems according to the highest standards, supporting the integration of organizational units and creating a balanced and effective teaching and learning environment. Continuously improving operations and apply the best accreditation standards, focusing on the unique Jordanian-German model of the university, to enhance excellence locally and internationally.
