The laboratory is equipped with the hardware and software necessary to design, prototype and test advanced power electronics circuits and systems. Applications include:

  • Power electronic interfaces and grid applications.
  • Resonant converters.
  • Wireless power transfer.
  • Electric vehicle deployment, applications and e-mobility.
  • Modeling and characterization of power semiconductor devices.
  • Wide bandgap semiconductors.
  • Led lighting.

 

In addition, research in powers system is conducted in power system protection and quality, three phase power recirculation, smart  grid applications, DC transmission and energy-economic-environmental modeling
