In coordination with the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), students of the German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in a training workshop for university youth on the role of social media and artificial intelligence in promoting dialogue and harmony. The workshop was organized by the Catholic Center for Studies and Media.
The workshop aimed to empower participants to use social media and artificial intelligence to foster dialogue, tolerance, and build peaceful digital and real-world communities. It was delivered by Shahrazad Ben Hmeida, a Tunisian trainer and consultant in access to justice at the Arab Institute for Human Rights. Topics included the fundamental principles of digital communication, behaviors that exacerbate violence and intolerance, the use of artificial intelligence tools in peace initiatives, and strategies for empowering youth to create peaceful digital communities.
With the participation of students from six Jordanian public and private universities, attendees implemented campaigns and applied strategies aligned with the workshop’s goals. At the conclusion, Father Rifat Bader, Director of the Catholic Center, and trainer Shahrazad awarded certificates to the participants.
