"14-18 May 2023 | A Photo Exhibition of Cultural and Natural Heritage: 'Treasures of the Badia: Capturing the Natural and Cultural Heritage of Jordan's Bedouin'

The Center for the Study of Natural and Cultural Heritage (CSNACH) recently concluded a captivating photo exhibition in collaboration with the talented photographer Gazua AL-Oun. This exhibition offered a unique glimpse into the intriguing world of the Bedouin community, showcasing their rich cultural heritage and the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the Badia region.
The Exhibition took place during the German Week at the German Jordanian University. From May 14th to May 17th, it was held at the German Jordanian University, Madaba Campus, and on May 18th, it took place at the German Jordanian University SABE - Dar Othman.
Visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in this exhibition, exploring the profound connections between the Bedouin people and their natural environment. It was a celebration of their time-honored traditions, customs, and way of life, passed down through generations. The exhibition aimed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving this invaluable cultural heritage.
We were honored to have welcomed distinguished guests, including His Excellency the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Eng. Othman Bdeir, HRH Princess Dana Firas, former Minister of Information, and esteemed architect Sakhr Dudin. Their presence further underscored the significance of this exhibition.
The event provided an exceptional opportunity for attendees to deepen their understanding of Bedouin culture, marvel at the breathtaking landscapes of the Badia, and uncover the captivating stories behind their sustainable practices.
Thank you to everyone who visited the exhibition and supported our efforts in promoting cultural and natural heritage. Stay connected with CSNACH for updates on future events and initiatives.
