Campus GATE proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of three students from the Hydrogen Engineering Transnational Hosted Programme, who successfully reached the C1 level in German language proficiency within just two years. This milestone reflects their remarkable dedication and the exceptional quality of instruction provided by the German Language Center (GLC) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), in collaboration with THWS.
The GLC — one of the largest centers of its kind worldwide — provides Hosted Programme students with intensive language training that takes them from beginner level to near-native fluency. Students begin their German studies during the pre-year and continue with advanced courses up to the B2 level before starting their academic phase in Germany.
Commenting on the achievement, Jacqueline Rogler, Director of the GLC, expressed her pride:
“We are making history at GJU! For the first time, we offered a study-accompanying German program up to the C1 level. The students’ success proves how determination and teamwork can lead to exceptional results.”
Rogler noted that while the coursework was rigorous, the outcome demonstrates the effectiveness of structured teaching and student perseverance.
Abdalsalam AlHuda, lecturer at the GLC, added:
“Only about ten percent of the learning success comes from the teacher. The remaining ninety percent lies in the students’ consistent effort, communication, and collaboration — they learned with and from each other.”
This accomplishment highlights the strength of GJU’s Hosted Programmes, which integrate technical education with linguistic and intercultural competence. Graduates benefit from earning a German-accredited degree and the opportunity to stay in Germany for up to 18 months to pursue employment — making German fluency a key professional advantage.
Campus GATE extends its heartfelt congratulations to the three outstanding students and the GLC team for their dedication, teamwork, and excellence — proving that with commitment and collaboration, academic and linguistic success go hand in hand.
