
A delegation from the German Jordanian University (GJU), consisting of the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Thelal Owies, the President of the Student Council, the VP of the Council, and the Head of the Innovation Committee in the Council, visited several partner universities in Germany as part of the cross-border cultural exchange program funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The visit aimed to familiarize the delegation with the administrative structures and systems of the universities, as well as the mechanisms of student self-governance and student councils. The delegation learned how German universities organize their administrative structure and the role of student councils in influencing decision-making within the campus. Additionally, topics such as budget management, setting student priorities, and addressing challenges related to self-governance were discussed.
The members of the delegation expressed the importance of this visit in inspiring ideas and strategies to develop student work mechanisms at the university and to coordinate future collaboration with German universities. They emphasized the significance of such visits in strengthening international cooperation to build strong and effective university communities.
