The President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, received the Executive Director of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), Ms. Farah Dagestani, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides.

During the meeting, potential areas of collaboration were explored, particularly in social work and community development, youth and women empowerment, and capacity building. These areas align with the University’s academic and community mission, as well as with JOHUD’s priorities and programs implemented across various governorates of the Kingdom.

The visit comes as part of the efforts of the Faculty of Applied Humanities and Social Sciences at the University to strengthen partnerships with leading national institutions, link academic education with field practice, and open new avenues for training, research, and cooperation that benefit students and the local community alike.

Both sides emphasized the importance of unifying efforts, exchanging expertise, and developing joint initiatives that contribute to sustainable human development, support underprivileged groups, and enhance youth participation in economic and social life.

It is worth noting that the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), established in 1977, is one of the Kingdom’s leading national non-profit institutions in the field of human development. It operates through a wide network of community development centers and implements programs focused on poverty reduction, women’s empowerment, youth opportunities, and the promotion of human rights and local communities.
