The German Jordanian University (GJU) concluded the fourth edition of the “My Right to Learn” – Kinder Uni initiative, in the presence of former Minister of Environment Dr. Taher Al-Shakhsheer, GJU Vice President Prof. Iyas Khader, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, Founder and Supervisor of the initiative Mr. Abdul Hakim Arabiat, a number of Public Security Directorate personnel, representatives of supporting institutions and organizations, and the parents of participating students.
During the ceremony, GJU Vice President Prof. Iyas Khader affirmed the University’s commitment to hosting and supporting the initiative for the fourth consecutive year under the umbrella of the “Children’s University”, highlighting the importance of empowering children, discovering their talents, developing their capabilities, and equipping them with modern and leadership skills that contribute to preparing them for the future.
For his part, Dr. Taher Al-Shakhsheer, the patron of the ceremony, praised the initiative’s vision and its national and humanitarian objectives in building individuals and caring for the younger generation. He also commended the effective partnership between the University, national institutions, and companies supporting the program.
Dr. Farah Al-Atrash, in turn, affirmed that hosting the initiative for the fourth consecutive year reflects the University’s belief in the importance of investing in children and developing their capabilities and personalities by providing an interactive educational environment that enhances their scientific, social, and leadership skills, while enabling them to discover their talents and build self-confidence.
Mr. Abdul Hakim Arabiat highlighted the key activities of the fourth edition, which featured a diverse and interactive program, including workshops on artificial intelligence and technology; language and cultural skills in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut; and road safety awareness in cooperation with the Jordan Traffic Institute. The program also included workshops on creative thinking, entrepreneurship, and arts, as well as sports activities, educational and cultural trips, and a free medical day for participants.
The ceremony featured a number of artistic performances, including poetry recitations and a performance of the “My Right to Learn” initiative’s anthem, in addition to a Circassian performance presented by the participating students.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were presented to the participating students, while commemorative shields were awarded to the organizations overseeing and supporting the initiative in recognition of their efforts and contributions to its success and to advancing its mission of providing children with quality educational opportunities and developing their skills and capabilities.
