The German Jordanian University (GJU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with German company Aligner Steps GmbH to expand cooperation in research, innovation, training, and the development of technological solutions, bringing together academic expertise and advanced technological applications.
The MoU was signed during GJU’s participation in LEAP 2026 in Riyadh. It was signed on behalf of GJU by its President, Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, and on behalf of Aligner Steps GmbH by Head of Business Development, Mohd. Al-Fraijat.
The areas of cooperation include joint research and innovation projects in 3D printing, materials design, and digital orthodontic technologies, as well as co-supervision of research and student graduation projects and the development of prototypes, assistive, and rehabilitation technologies. These areas aim to translate academic knowledge into practical applications and solutions.
The MoU also provides for the development and implementation of training programs targeting GJU students, staff, and members of the community, with a focus on developing practical skills in digital design and assistive technologies, in addition to launching joint community engagement initiatives, raising awareness, and promoting a culture of innovation.
The MoU further enhances opportunities for cooperation in securing local and international funding and preparing and submitting joint research proposals and projects. This supports both parties’ efforts to expand partnerships, develop capabilities, and leverage technology and knowledge to create solutions with tangible impact.
