The President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Dr. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, met with the Managing Director of the Royal Film Commission – Jordan, Mr. Mohannad Al-Bakri, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the University and the Commission within the framework of the joint program, the Jordan Film Academy.
During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Nidal Al-Shawawreh, discussions focused on prospects for developing cinematic education at the University and reviewing the journey of the Jordan Film Academy and its mission to prepare a new generation of specialized filmmakers and technicians capable of meeting the needs of the film sector and creative industries in Jordan and the region.
Both sides emphasized the importance of building on the achievements realized to date and further developing this strategic partnership in the coming phase, in alignment with national priorities and in support of the creative industries, while strengthening investment in academically and professionally qualified young talent.
The meeting was attended by a delegation from the Royal Film Commission – Jordan, including Ms. Nada Doumani and Mr. Abdulsalam Al-Hajj, where the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between the two institutions was underscored to serve students and enhance Jordan’s cinematic landscape.
