The President of the German Jordanian University (GJU), Prof. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli, emphasized the importance of student participation in electing members of the Student Parliament, the "Student Council," due to its role in training them for active participation in the democratic process of parliamentary elections, scheduled to be held next September.

While inspecting the polling stations at the university, in the presence of Vice President Prof. Malek Alsharairi, the Dean of Student Affairs' team, and representatives from the Independent Election Commission, he stated that the political process requires youth participation, considering them the present and future of the nation. They should have a pivotal role in making decisions that affect their community and country.

He called on students to actively participate in electing a student council that meets their aspirations and plays a leading role in serving the student body at the university. This council should be an effective partner in the development and growth process at the university, enhancing its progress and advancement.

For her part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Thelal Owies, explained that the university's Supreme Election Committee has taken all measures to ensure the success of the election process in a democratic and comfortable atmosphere, including the use of "special ink" to prevent repeat voting as one of the integrity guarantees.

Many students expressed their enthusiasm for participating in these historic elections, affirming that this step gives them the opportunity to express their opinions and contribute to improving the university environment. They emphasized that the new Student Council would be an important platform for fostering constructive dialogue between students and the university administration.
