The German Jordanian University (GJU) Library organized a specialized academic event titled “Research to Publication: Get Ready to Publish in a Journal”, in cooperation with the international publisher Emerald Publishing. This initiative comes as part of the Library’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and enhance researchers’ publishing skills.
Held at the Library Auditorium, the event witnessed strong attendance and engagement from faculty members and researchers across the university. The session was delivered by Ms. Mehinur Akdağ, Regional Publishing and Training Manager at Emerald Publishing, who presented an in-depth overview offering practical insights into publishing in peer-reviewed academic journals.
The program addressed several key topics, most notably strategies for selecting appropriate academic journals to ensure research reaches its target audience, academic writing techniques that improve the structure of research papers and increase their chances of acceptance, as well as an overview of the peer-review process, professional publishing requirements, and effective ways to navigate them.
The German Jordanian University Library extended its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Emerald Publishing, represented by Ms. Areej Al-Barghouthi, and to Ms. Mehinur Akdağ, for this constructive collaboration that serves the interests of researchers and contributes to the development of their research capabilities.
The Library, with the support of the University’s administration, reaffirmed its commitment to continuing the organization of high-quality academic events that contribute to advancing the level of scientific research at the university. It also noted that certificates of participation will be sent to all participants via email.
