The Deanship of Student Affairs at the German-Jordanian University, through the Student Parliament and in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation and Airbus, organized an interactive workshop titled "How to Weigh Aircraft," with the participation of a large number of students and enthusiasts in this field.
During the workshop, Hran Al-Qysy, a representative of the Crown Prince Foundation, emphasized the importance of the aircraft weighing process in the aviation industry. He reviewed the Foundation's programs and its three main tracks, which focus on supporting Jordanian youth and enhancing their capabilities. These tracks are: leadership, economic participation, and sustainable social development.
Ali Al-Hanbali, one of the beneficiaries of the Airbus training program, shared his unique experience in the program held in France. The program included both theoretical aspects and practical applications in the field of aircraft weighing. He learned how to calculate and distribute weight accurately to ensure safety and performance efficiency.
Ahmed Fares, a representative of the "Makerspace" at the Crown Prince Foundation, discussed the Foundation's Center for Innovation and Digital Manufacturing. The center aims to enhance the skills of Jordanian youth in advanced manufacturing fields. He explained that the center includes several specialized departments, such as 3D printing, metals and wood, electronics, as well as design and laser cutting stations.
He also revealed the upcoming launch of the Mobile Digital Manufacturing Lab in early next year, which will aim to bring digital manufacturing technology to youth in various governorates. The initiative seeks to empower young people and encourage innovation, focusing on providing them with hands-on training in their local communities.
The workshop contributed to highlighting the role of innovation and digital manufacturing in developing the skills of Jordanian youth and motivating them to actively participate in the development of the national economy. Thanks to strategic partnerships with local and international institutions, the German-Jordanian University continues its efforts to equip the next generation with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the future.
