The German Jordanian University (GJU) participated in the Sigma Asia Regional Conference 2025, held in Hong Kong, as part of its efforts to strengthen international academic partnerships and expand opportunities for scientific collaboration. The university was represented by Dr. Mayada Daibes, Dean of the School of Nursing.
The conference presented the latest research in digital health and applications of artificial intelligence in nursing, serving as an important scientific platform for knowledge exchange and discussion of future collaboration opportunities in nursing and health sciences.
On the sidelines of the conference, GJU signed an academic and research cooperation agreement with Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). The agreement was signed by Dr. Mayada Daibes on behalf of GJU President, Prof. Dr. Ala'aldeen Al-Halhouli.
The agreement aims to enhance joint research collaboration, promote student exchange between the two institutions, and support the joint development of educational and training laboratories in line with the latest international standards in nursing education and scientific research.
Following the signing ceremony, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two universities as a gesture of the partnership's depth and mutual appreciation, reflecting both parties’ commitment to building a sustainable academic collaboration that benefits students, researchers, and academic institutions.
This cooperation aligns with the German Jordanian University’s vision to strengthen high-quality international partnerships and enhance the quality of education and scientific research, positively impacting students and the healthcare sector both locally and internationally.
