German Jordanian University (GJU) alumna Omaymah Al-Mashaleh, who received a PhD scholarship from the university’s Business School, has been awarded the DAAD Prize 2026 at Constructor University Bremen in Germany, during the university’s Annual Opening Ceremony.

The DAAD Prize is awarded to international students in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and active social engagement. It is presented by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). The prize is valued at EUR 1,000 and is awarded annually to one international student from across the university.

This achievement reflects the excellence of GJU students and alumni and their ability to pursue their academic and research careers at international higher education institutions. It also highlights the educational and research opportunities provided by GJU, which contribute to preparing its students and alumni to compete and excel at the international level.
