The German Jordanian University Football Team of Female Students has qualified for the quarterfinals of the University Championship, organized by the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation and hosted by the Middle East University.
This well-deserved qualification follows an impressive performance, with the team securing 6 points. After a narrow 2–1 loss in their opening match against Princess Sumaya University for Technology, the team made a strong comeback with a dominant 7–1 victory over Ajloun National University, before finalizing qualification with a decisive 2–1 win against Hashemite University.
Notably, this marks the team’s first participation in the University Championship, making the achievement even more significant and reflecting their determination and rapid development.
The team is led by Dean’s Assistant for Sports Activities Dr. Ziad Al-Zoubi, Head Coach Captain Fahd Farha, and Team Administrator Captain Mais Al-Aqeel.
GJU will face Al-Balqa Applied University in an anticipated quarterfinal match.
