The President of the German Jordanian University, Prof. Ala'aldeen Al- Halhouli, patronized the graduation ceremony of sixty-five employees from the Maintenance and Engineering Department of the School of Applied Technical Sciences (SATS) who participated in the occupational health and safety course, in cooperation with the Italian Center for Occupational Health and Safety.

The course aimed to familiarize the participants with the legislation and laws related to occupational safety and emergency management on the site, the risks associated with procedures, personal protection equipment, tools of occupational safety, analysis of individual and collective protection equipment, and the best practices to be followed during work to avoid injuries.

During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Halhouli pointed out the importance of training topics in providing participants with various skills to protect themselves, students, and service recipients from work injuries. Dr. Al-Halhouli stressed that training and development to raise the capabilities of all university employees and improve their administrative and technical skills are essential and adhere to the university’s strategy for 2022 and beyond to be an international university of applied sciences and a leader in education, research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service.
