The School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management ( SNERM ) at the German Jordanian University (GJU), as part of the scientific research project “Enhancement of Higher Education Managed Aquifer Recharge in the MENA Water Sector – MENAWAT” funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), organized a Managed Aquifer Recharge Autumn School on November 20–21, 2024.

The event featured participation from professors at the University of Applied Sciences Dresden, Dresden University of Technology, GJU, and Yarmouk University. The Autumn School was inaugurated with the attendance of GJU’s Vice President for International Affairs and the Regional Head of the Ta’ziz program at DAAD.

The sessions covered a range of topics, including theoretical and practical aspects of groundwater recharge, along with presentations on the potential for recharge in Northern Jordan. The event drew participation from bachelor’s and master’s students as well as several teaching and research assistants interested in advancing their expertise in this field.
