The German Jordanian University (GJU), in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department and the Community Police, organized an awareness event attended by Prof. Dr. Ibrahem Altarawneh, Vice President of GJU, along with a number of faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

The event aimed to raise students’ awareness of the dangers of drugs and their adverse effects on individuals and society, while promoting a culture of prevention. It featured an exhibition of awareness materials and items provided by the Anti-Narcotics Department, as well as the distribution of educational brochures to students to inform them about the dangers of drugs and their impact on individual health and community safety.

The event forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between GJU and the Public Security Directorate, intensify joint efforts to raise awareness among young people, and encourage them to adopt positive behaviors. These efforts also seek to reinforce partnerships between educational institutions and security agencies, expand awareness programs targeting young people, and promote drug prevention to mitigate its impact on society.
